Still haven’t actually *fixed* my computer yet (funds are kind of tight after the holidays), but at least it’s being kind enough to let me upload this.

hope you continue doing these man. i’m a big MAME fan and i find these endlessly interesting. one note tho: i hear a distinct difference in sound quality throughout the clips. you might wanna look into that. i understand that your hardware might not be up to it at this point, but if you want to improve on your reviews, this would definetly help.awesome
Thanks man! Yeah, I had some sound issues while making this set…it’s hard when recording MAME on a crappy computer since MAME takes up a ton of resources. I’ve got it ironed out now though (working on the D’s as we speak), and I think the quality picks up over the next few vids ^_^

Thanks alot for another list, I was beginning to think you where giving up on these! I really appreciate it, though I wish you revealed more bullet hell games, I’m really getting into them. Guess theirs not that many in C’s though. Great job, keep it up!

Your list of SHMUPS is really weak. Where’s DonDonPachi, Dimahoo, Dragon Blaze, Blazing Star or GigaWing? What about older titles like R-Type, In The Hunt or 1943? I don’t have a single one of these games in my collection.

No comparison other than they’re robots. Cybattler is nothing more than a Robotech rip-off and Cybernator is a Gundam clone.

Awesome review!!! Glad to know abou Cyvern! Looks pretty collWell guys, I need your help to find another Sh’mups I played when I was a Kid but I can remember their names! I’ve searched a lot, believe it u_u.In the first one, the blue plane flies in two levels of the screen, the first is high and the second is low, most I remember it is when the boss arrives it goes to the lower level. In high level it can shoot just straight forward, in the second it shoots wherever it want’s to ^_^ cont…
The other one is sort of classic one, most like 19xx series, but the planes are all of Victorian age, Like the old fashionated Zeppelin baloons and there are old bombs and bat like wings planes… This one I’ve searched my whole live u_U no success.. hope you could help me guys!Regards!

@celsojr2010 Um… it could be Boogie Wings, Progear, or Steel Empire on the Genesis/GBA or Battle Bakraid or Battle Garrega, or perhaps Double Wings, which I haven’t played. Hope I helped.
anyone knwo some weird 2-d game where you use a yoyo as a weapon? I think the characters u used were cowboysi have memories of it as a kid

@RicardoBatistaPassowell not that its an old arcade game where you use some sort of cowboys, you use a yoyo an du can spin it at a 360 degree angle. Its really hard to explain i have poor memory of itbut thanks though

i think that game is “SpinMaster” u start with a yoyo and then pick up fire, bombs, and more junk.
Maybe Spin Master ? But no cowboys in there.

Your reviews are great and the good thing about it you review them through MAME. I have done almost all the games through MAME. Change Air Blade by far the best Sh’mup. It is like street fighter/Shooter Hybrid!!!!! I agree it a whole lot of fun and there are secrets into this game player should try. The AI is good too and if you are agressive in the begining the opponent starts to turn into BOSS immediatley and the AI kicks in to raise the difficulty of the game.Review D, E and F games.

Cotton, Cosmic Cop, Cybattler and Cosmo are good games.I like the “boxing” style of Capt. Tomaday. That’s quite original.Carrier Air Wing is top class, there’s a bit of strategy involved too with powerups and what to buy before each level.I agree with Change Air Blade being up there, although I doubt I would put it at number one.
If you like shmups, check out Mars Matrix, i personaly like it ALOT due to how simple and deep at the same the time!.

@m4dn3s59595 Try googling MAME32 Emulator.. download the emulator… then search for Mame32 Roms.. there are tons of sites with roms. Also try torrenting a mame emulator/rom package.

I just can’t believe who amazingly crisp and graphical some of these games still look compared to what is out there now I mean really well made side-scroller game back then is equal if not worse then a nice one made TODAY…. Can anyone see someting wrong with that… :S Also can someone please help me find this Coin-OP ARCADE game. You are a submarine and go about blowing things up along the way it was side-scoller as well It had massive graphic value for such an older game :O for its time.
