Finally broke down after 3 years and installed a front end. Turned out really good.

hah, ScrewAttack did a review of BurgerTime recently.
is Maximus Arcade a downloadable project?
thats sweet a arcade machine with emulators
awsome man, yeah i did my research as well and maximus seems to be the way to go for front ends. I should begin working on mine again in about 3 weeks (taxes!!!).
What a nice note to end it on. Castlevania. Ahahahah. Nice. Very nice thing you have going here.
that front end is nice
dude this is awesome….about how much did this run you? i want one
i have tried so many frontends this one looks like a keeper
What? The cab? I built it from scratch. What it cost me goes with me to the grave…
As far as I know. They have everything on their website.
The Select button for NES is the Run button. The Select button for SNES is the lower Block button. The upper one is R1.
I know this is a stupid question but how many MAME Cabinet you have?
Just this one.
That looks insanely good. How many SNES games do you have on there?
Only about 100 or so. Never really got all that into SNES.
wery good, man.
does it save your progress on mario?
Yup. Remembers everything for every game.
How do you set it up to save your progress when you quit a game?
Actually, Mame saves your data, not the front end. It should do it automatically.
can come over and visit lolololol
i was going for the whole project…im thinking of building my own but idk what the price range will be.i just really want a dedicated umk3 arcade that i can convert to mame but still have the original setup.
Well, I spent a little over $2000 building it. But that was mostly because I bought a LOT of extra stuff that I didn’t need, but thought I did. I had to spend an extra $500 because the first monitor I bought got the tube crushed during shipment and I didn’t have any insurance on it. I spent a lot turning it into MK3 and then tearing all that off and making it into a ‘dedicated’ Mame cab. If I could build another one now, I could accomplish what I did with this one, a LOT cheaper.
Looks great. This would occupy my nephew for hours when he comes over if I can cram all the stuff for a mame cab into my current MKII cab. Was wondering (off the topic here) if you ever did a timed run through any of the MK’s? I figured you had, but you have so many vids up now, I didn’t wanna look through all them since the descriptions for the vids usually start with “MK 1, etc…” and then the descriptive part gets truncated until you mouse-over it. My Verizon is also iffy at times.

i figured i could most likely get it done for around 500 tops…b/c a buddy of mine has a couple arcades in his basement that i could use for parts etc…
I can beat MK3 and UMK3 (Novice Tower) with pretty much any character in about 9 minutes. MK1, MK2 and UMK3 (other towers) vary depending on which character I choose because I am weak with some more than others.
Cool. I have tried my MK1 JAMMA a few weeks back and got a time of a little more than 12 minutes on the hardest difficulty setting with Kano. Darned Shang Tsung can come in incredibly easy or incredibly hard depending on the planet alignment I guess, lol! And Liu Kang has his moods, too. Goro is a joke, though, most of the time. I just intentionally missed the “Test Your Might” scenarios to shave seconds off my time. Need to best my time soon and try MKII, also.
You are great with your hands my friend. Wished that I could do that!
i bought my 360 originally for the sole purpose of playing umk3, but after finally collecting evety console i grew up with i felt i wanted to build a collection of games such as sonic, pac man and lots of others, just like what you have done with your mame arcade, and since then i have been looking to you for inspiration so, good workumk3isgr8 aka retrogameparadise
Thank you.
I hate you MameMan! LOL. This MAME cabinet is AWESOME.
To get maximus to boot with windows drag the maximus.exe to the startup folder. I had some trouble with this its working a treat now.
Nice video, How do you config Maximus to Esc. from Nintendo and SNES emulater. I got it to work on Mame but not on SNES and NES.Thanks!
Press CNTLP, then go to Controller, Setup1, then go down to Quit Executable, click in the box, then press you esc button.
i recommend getting an n64 emulator, then you can play mk trilogy,, the n64 version, and that has its own exclusive features, like super endurance for example
Which executable do you use when it loads up man? Mine does my head in cos it won’t load some of the games up, yet they’ll come on a treat using Turbo Mame.
Where are you getting the reliable ROMS from? and Which executable version are you loading them up through in Maximus?Cheers
Some of mine work ok on one exec. but not another. Highly annoying. Sometimes the controls on the x arcade don’t work on some games, but the buttons do.
how did you get mame??????????
emuasylum(.)com
did you pay for this or did you find a way to get it free, and thanks for the ps2 find on that track ball.
you can download a mame with all the pictures already there so you dont have to do them one by one. Nice work though. I wanted Hyperspin but way too much work.
Great job man !!!!!
Thanks, and thanks for subscribing!
put maximus arcade exe in your autostart folder and it will load when windows starts
Awesome video, I hope to be getting a mame soon.
