Hi RuthSherwood!
I love these Mame clips. I was lucky to see the show twice in D.C. in Spring 2006. I loved Christine as Mame, Harriet Harris as Vera Charles, Jeff McCarthy as Beauregard Burnside, & Max Von Essen as Adult Patrick. Do you have the number “It’s Today” by any chance? Thanks!

The quality of some of the numbers is just not good. I’ll have to check if “It’s Today” is worth uploading… but then; if not for the video … the audio is fab. ;o)
I’ll see if & when I can get to it. Stay tuned.

I loooove her!!! And they seriously need to revive this show. So few people know about it because it doesn’t have that modern musical theater appeal but it is aaaamazing!!!

How great to have bits of this performance to see. I missed this show by 1 week when I came to DC. Thank you!

This is good, but it really makes you appreciate Angela Lansbury in the role. Even at nearly 60 (in the 1983 revival) Lansbury showed so much more spunk energy, kicking to high heaven and all the rest…. and of course in the original show back in the 60’s Lansbury just couldn’t be touched.

I think if you look at the clip of Angela Lansbury doing to the same number (to the right) You will see she does rather a lot of sitting down in this number. Not that much differences in their ages really either
I love this song xDdoes anyone know where you can get this song, or a soundtrack?lots of love xxx
I’ll bet that Cristine could kick more and maybe allso dance much better than Angela! There’s no doubt!
