how about the cheat for tekken 3? how do i use the cheats?
If it’s tekken 3 in MAME it would be handled the same exact way just running tekken instead. You just need to make sure you find a cheat.dat file that has tekken3 in it.
i have da new version with the street fighter background, but i still can’t get the cheats activated. i have da file, but it’s still not workin’. i need serious help, can u explain dis a lil’ more clearer, cuz i’m still a lil’ confused.
Hey i need some help.i downloaded the cheat dat. file and there was a zipped file and went into s.pac-man i put the cheats and there was no cheats
you need to extract the zip file. and make sure you have an older version of mame

back when i 1st downloaded mame i think in 2002 or 2003 there wasnt places like youtube to watch videos about mame. had to do the stuff the hard way. and now comes geniuses like hwoarong 13 to help out with the cheats. thanks! aways wanted to use the cheat feature. after almost 7 years. i know now how to use. THANK YOU!!

Okay. I did everything you said, but it still doesn’t work. My problem is that in the Directories window, Cheats isn’t an option. So do you know how to fix that?

you probably are using a newer version of mame32. try findin one that is .125 or even earlier. the newest versions have disabled the cheats

How can you show the Cheat menu items “Add/Edit”, “Search” etc.?I can use cheats, but i have no this items, and then i choose “Cheat”, i come directly into cheat choose menu (infinity lives/time etc.)

I figured out how to create the mame.ini file. You have to go to run then type cmd and then go to the directory that mame is in via a dos like window.

@jonniewalker18 Then problem is they updated the rom sets, Like you i as well can’t play any of the king of fighters with the current release. But if you just load up an older version of Mame you should be good to go. i know for sure they work in .119 possibly even newer versions

When i use infinite health in the new xml cheat file, it acts all wierd. Player 2 doesn’t move the same when getting hit as he would do if the cheat was off. Happens to anyone else? I’m playing Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo
@hwoarong13 …. i went to the Pugsy jus as u . The cheat file was in xml format …. not dat. , so is there any other place i can get . I use Mame 32 plus plus .119Please Help !! It really gets better playing with cheats .
@kingofstreetfighter HOLY MULTIPLE POSTS BATMAN!!! lol um i’m using Mame plus plus v.119. Not sure why yours doesn’t have the cheats. check your in box for a link to the cheat.dat file It will be zipped when you get it.

@hwoarong13 Sorry about the posts , when i extract the cheat zip from Pugsy , i get a bunch XML. files rather than a DAT. file .What should i do ?

i can no longer use xml cheats with new versions of mame. they just don’t work. pressing tab does nothing.let me no if the method has changed?my cheats.zip file is where the executable mame file is.this cheats.zip contains above 9000 xml files.now what can be wrong?

One who doesn’t know how to enable cheats on mame 32,is very uninteligent person.
i cant seem to enable them either.every time i try to start the cheats up in the tab screen,it keeps saying to unzip it and place it in the mame directory it doesnt work with later emulators.
even with mame plus plus 00.119 version it just does not show up as a cheat file it still looks like its zipped up,and when you extract it again,it extract all the cheat files into the bloody folder.its a cunt.
Need help I have tried about 3 different versions of mame32 and put the cheats.zip into the folder but every time it justs says cheat database not found. What can i do please to fix it?
@hwoarong13 kof 2001 and 2002 werent working for me so i stick with 2000 to ‘94
