Here I am playing an OK side-scroller named Crime City. Plays like any other shooting side scroller of the time but not as good and very limited as far as the moveset goes.
Now watch me play this crappy game.

btw, this game is actually a spin-off of Chase H.Q. (this can be confirmed from the fact that the car being driven in the introductory demo features the same Porsche from Chase H.Q.)

love doing speed runs for this game. Classic side scroller, underrated IMO.

While Crime City was a Shinobi clone on its face, this game had some subtleties that seem like nothing today but were pretty uncommon in its day. Bad guys’ bullets can kill each other and not just your guy; punches or other injuries will take some life but a bullet will kill you instantly. Most games then either had one-hit kill or many hits to kill and it didn’t matter whether you got punched or shot, it was all the same. Enemies were usually incapable of hurting each other.
Judging by what you said about the moveset SJ, its actually not that limited unless you checked the how to marqee on an arcade site or let the demo play you can roll and super jump to give you an edge in the game. By the way your playing I think this is your first time.
More like a Rolling Thunder clone.
Yep! And the guy talking in Chase HQ is the black guy–done by a pathetic Hong Kong actor trying to use ethnic accents!”Come on, Mr. Driver!”
ok, so if its not mame…btw this seems like serious fun if your into 80’s games….
