This video is a demonstration of my M.A.M.E. arcade cabinet, which is a miniaturized Neo-Geo MVS.
It was built 100% from the ground up by modifying plans for a Neo-Geo MVS 2-Slot upright cabinet. It only has controls for one player, but there is a second external USB joystick that can be plugged in for two players.
PC Specs:
-ASUS P4T533-C Motherboard
-Pentium 4 2.53 GHZ CPU
-512MB PC1066 RDRAM
-BFG GeForce 6800 128MB AGP
-80GB Western Digital 7200RPM HDD
-Onboard Sound & Ethernet
-17″ Envision LCD @ 1280×1024
Software Setup:
-Windows XP Service Pack 3 running minimal services and programs
-Custom boot screens
-Running MaLa (MAME Front End) as the Windows shell in place of explorer.
-MameUI version .126u3 running at 1280×1024 with RGB filters & DirectX
Other Cabinet Features:
-Pause, Menu, Service, and One-Button-Power-On buttons
-80MM exhaust fan
-Stereo speakers
-Custom sized & printed marquee and control panel
-Working coin door & lights
Currently there is no side art but I am in the process of having it printed.
The plans are available to anyone who wants them, just drop me a line.

It’s a cheapo 17″ LCD I got off eBay. A CRT would look better probably but due to the cabinet’s size; it’s just not possible. The biggest CRT that would fit would be a 14-15″. The LCD actually looks great - I’ve got MAMEUI running the DirectX screen filters so it has a CRT-like look.
great looking cab I watched the first part of the video before I read the info and I thought it was a real MVS cab great work.
Wow im rating this full!
can you send me the mame theam and the roms and the mame that you use
original dip switches…nice
keep a upgrade on da MameUI version in case of roms expansion and i got a question…do u think it would be cheaper and convenient to use a custom control deck like x-arcade tank sticks or da original cabinet’s????
best cab ive ever seen
one player only?
There an external controller you can pull out from the back for 2-player. Trust me; the cabinet is tiny. No way two adults could play at the same time.
Dude, your streetfighter crashed
That was actually just me exiting back out into the menu. It takes a sec for Mame to close out the CPS3 games.

It’s not really a money issue, it’s more convenience. To do the custom panel you’ll need an I-PAC2 interface ($40) and maybe an additional $20-30 in parts (plus the woods/nails/screws/etc). The X-Arcade pretty much just comes ready to plug in. I always thought though that they look too tacked on vs. a custom panel.

Sod the I pac dude, just hack a £5.00 usb joypad. cheaper and has the same results!
can I get the plans
whats the point of putting fighting games if the cab’s CP is set to one player only? do you plan on getting a second one having it set back to back like the candy cabs in japan?
There’s a custom 6-button layout USB arcade stick in the lower part of the cab - it comes out through the coin door for 2 player action. Trust me, I got this shit worked out!
That;s awesome, I actually own two of the SNK built mini Neo Geo’s, and that thing looks pretty close to the real deal.
did you download any of the emulators from the web? to use in this?
Were did you get all of the games?ThanksRD
They magically appeared on my computer one day.All joking aside - google is your friend in this case
But did you download them all septratly or did you get a pack of roms!
