I believe there was a change to the umk3 files… sound like you need to update your roms.
Thank you man! I look forward to 1) redoing this one, and 2) building another one for my brother… I’ll post vids of each as those projects progress.
How did you get the UI to play video previews like that?
That’s pretty simple… just download what are called “preview videos” and point the mamewah ini file to that folder for the “snap” folder.
How did you hide XP logon, logoff and explorer shell ?!Could you tell me where i can pick a tutorial, a guide or just some infos to do this!?MANYTHANKS!!!
Great Cab, is it custom built or did you use some sort of plans? Thanks.
whats the program called for playing the arcade games on that machine
MAME
hey great job on the cab. what MAME version did you used for the cab? you should show how it also play the other emulatos…. but over all, Great Job. i cant wait to start my project to build my own.
thats one of the nicest mame cabinets ive ever seen. terrific job man
hiya, love your machine, you must be very happy with it. can i ask what version of mame wah are you using and where can you download the preview videos from

Isn’t it sad? All this technology and new games don’t even compare to the stuff from 10-30 years ago.

shit now all you gotta do is:get a dual core-4GB +RAMupdate GPUbigger HDD(for CHD’s) and get the illegal bios files that allow play of the 2k7-2k9 games!but yeah best one ive seen..but a dual core would do a world of justice..see if you can fit one in that MoBo..?BTW great presentation!

hey can you help me? i saw in Zophar’s domain MAMEWAH is not a frontend with MAME32, just MAME, so how well will MAMEWAH run UMK3? i think it would run perfect but i need to make sure, I don’t have a PC now, it crashed, and I know MAME isn’t possible on the Wii xP

How did you get rid of the legal notices when running a rom???????Because that is my next step
Yeah very cool, way to go. I was wondering, is it pretty easy to get the PC to support an arcade monitor?
how do you conect the coin opp is it conected to the keyboard or is it more complecated?
Wow… your mame cab is amazing!, so beautiful..
That is a great layout! Could you please email me the file? I will shoot you payment if you would like. Thanks
what about delaying the start up for the tv until mame is loaded thats a way to hide ur bios
Well done mate.Good work.
Beautiful cab. How can I get the preview movies? I’m using mamewah too.
How did you get that games’s previews at mame menu?
how much would these go for?
Amazing - what a great idea
To sell? Not sure… I’ve seen full units go for a 1000-2000 dollars but it’s illegal to sell with any software. you could pretty much just build the unit and the computer and leave it up to the user to get the games on it. There isn’t any justifible money in making these unless you can make them for REALLY cheap by making them by the hundred and cloning the setups… trust me, myself and about a 1000 other people have already tried it.
that’s a mamewah.ini setting. setup mamewah and in the ini file for the preview artwork just reference your folder with the appropriate named video files.

That’s the plan… I’d have to do it with a timed relay of sorts.
Using unused inputs from the IPAC to register coin activity.
oh i seeso where did you get everything to make it?im refuring to the hardware not the software

nice project….where can I download that version of mame???
where did you buy the coin box ??????????????
How many games do you have and how long did it take you to get all of them? Nice vid by the way.
wooooooow, i m starting to build my first cabinet in about 30 days, as soon as i get back too europe, im doing a lot of reading to get things right, your cabinet is just awesome, is there any webpage, book etc you d suggest, hopefully in a few month time i can post a video myself
@leifashley27 I was curious is it possible to put a list of games on one machine? I’ve got a list of games whhich I would like to put on just one machine?
Check out how the pro’s do it
Dream Home Arcades
Awesome machine dude. The screen looks great in there. I’m impressed that the P4 with 1GB runs the preview screens and roms so nicely. I guess if it’s streamlined to do so it would make sense. So what OS does someone use for something like this? Anyone???
@leifashley27 How much did this cost you? Would you make anotehr to sell?
were do you get the preview videos from
NOVICE!!!! FUCKING NOVICE
im plannin on buildin one of those. it will have four joysticks, a trackball, a keyboard, light guns, and a pc built inside.
Beautiful cabinet, you should be proud! Did you build it all yourself or by a kit to assemble for the cab? If it’s original would you share the plans? I’d really like to build one based off yours.
Very nice machine man, great job. I like the video previews too.
the one thing i don’t get is, where is mame installed to? I know it’s a stupid question (i’m new to this) but it seems like it’s on a seperate computer just for the mame software. The only way i could get this to work is by connecting a cabinet to an actual PC then running mame off that. Can you help me on this?
