STREET FIGHTER ALPHA 3
I created this tutorial upon request. Here I will demonstrate how to install MAME w/ Kaillera so that you can play Street Fighter Alpha 3 online! If you have any specific questions that this demo does not answer for you, feel free to ask me in comments! I will answer all questions either in comments or I will directly message you if the response is too long to fit in comments.
Note that I only used SFA3 as an example in this tutorial, so if you would like to download any other game ROMs, the entire process is exactly the same. Download any other game ROMs you want exactly the same way as you see in this tutorial. Other websites you can find more game ROMs at besides www.romnation.net are www.rom-world.com and www.emucation.com.

Yes sir! Don’t just limit yourself to SFA3. Try out all the ROMs you like. But not all of them are compatible with this version of MAME. But I know for sure Marvel VS Capcom is compatible. I play it online VS other people all the time!
hey man i have a question, i bought an arcade stick for the pc which works great for my everything vs everything and cps3 but i cant get it to work on this mame32 and i have the new one running perfectly. can you help me with setting this up? or advice? thanks

You can get the other version of MAME through the same website in this tutorial.

Ping is determined by your internet connection speed and the distance you live from the server. If you don’t have a high speed internet connection, your ping will be too high to even play at all. If you live far away from the state / country of the server you are logging into, your ping will be very high. I would recommend that you only play in servers close to your area to avoid high ping. You might want to try 2DF if that is the case (I made a tutorial video on that too).

whats the name os the song
Whenever I click on a server to join in the server list, it says “connecting…” but then nothing happens and it never connects. Its not a firewall or network issue on my end, how do I fix this problem? I’ve tried 3 different pcs but the same thing happens on all of them

I cant start emulation! Help! It says i might be missing ROM files. I did everything to the letter. The last step is problematic. What should i do with the missing ROM files??

If nobody has responded to your question in over a month, yes you can use your ps 3 or 360 control on your PC.
What is the second song called? Seems to be a remix betwen Linking parks “numb” and Janet jacksons “Feedback”, but however I search I just can’t find it, thought. Oh and I almost forgot, great tutorial! made stuff alot easier.

You are right, it is a “mashup” of both songs. I have the mp3 saved somewhere in my comp and can send it to you if you like. I just need to find it. You won’t be able to find it anywhere because it is not an official release. It was fan made.

Thanks for the help. it was a pain in the ass trying to figure how to configure my controller at first or even how to play the damn game, but if anybody had trouble like i did, remember to configure the “Coin” command.

this is very easy.i don’t see how people have problems doing this.i play on kaillera everday.i play at west wonderland.the server is in the U.S Virginia.been there since 2007.if anyone like beat em up like double dragon 1,2 and 3 golden axe 1 and 2 final fight the punisher mercs and the metal slug series then come to west wonderland.look for it in the server list.

hey man cool video but i downloaded the rom and it opened up in winrar, i moved the files to the ROMs folder and refreshed but it was a no go. should I just not unzip and put it in the folder?

I found no servers
This song is sick, what a throwback. Just made my night, now time to whip some ass in Street Fighter.
The emulator cannot run the roms I download (UMK3, Sunset Riders, SSF2, etc), it only runs Battletoads.
Well, i got it working… But now i don’t know how to control it XD oh well i’m sure i’ll figure it out.
@Soriua Sunset riders is cool. Your problem might be that some older ROM versions, do NOT work with the latest MAME version. EmuAsylum (DOT com) ROMs with with the latest MAME versions. I would play Sunset with you sometime. Want to try? Also, do you have Skype?

me and my friend tried marvel vs capcom once it worked, then a 2nd time it stopped working. im on kaillera hosting on a server, he joins then i load the game, both of us get the game starting, but its 2 TOTALLY SEPERATE games, meaning we both load but hes not in my game, and im not in his, instead there is no one, and i I click 2, it just loads MY player 2 buttons not his, how to fix the damn thing??
yea to folow up i saw that in your video when u hosted and started, it had the SERVER P1 DELAY thing pop up on your mame screen, for me it never pops up, and in kaillera chat it says nothing about my FRAME DELAY when u start the game, whats wrong with my settings?? it used to say this to me also, now it doesn’t.

Games that offer simultaneous/cooperative/team game play. Not much into sports games. I have only 1 or 2 people I play with on a regular basis.. BTW, I am on East coast USA, they are all in Europe. Where you located? I am just curious because of ping rates. Well, let me know what games you like and if you want to play sometime. Let’s play!
