If you’re wondering what Dark Seal is, that’s exactly the question I was asking myself just a few days ago. To answer: it’s an arcade game by Data East.
Or should I say a very cheap, soul-sucking, quarter-hungry arcade game that I fully intend to poke until it lies twitching on the ground in agony. I managed to get through the entire game in one sitting (it’s not long) but I died alot. I probably died 30+ times against the final two bosses alone.

Cadash too has a ninja in euro fantasy set.
I’ve seen some gameplay of Cadash and it’s on my “OMG this game needs ridicule” list but I haven’t gotten to play it yet.
well…Cadash was of my fav games when I was a kid…but you look at things with a different look, everything’s better when you are young…isn’t it? In my memory Cadash and Dark Seal were the same game…^_^

Actually, knights and all that are associated with the European feudal system. Ninjas appeared in 14th century feudal Japan as “special warriors.” So actually there is a connection.

That’s tenuous at best. The social structures of Europe and Japan at those times were markedly different and knights and ninja functioned in completely different ways. The ninja trade was in gathering information and performing assassinations. Knights were heavy infantry/cavalry used for cavalry charges and as support units when breaks in the infantry line would appear.The closer comparison would be between knights and samurai.
