I remember this game in the arcade when i was little … everytime i walked by it the moans and screams scared the shit out of me….erie game.
MK is hella gay and considered a scrape to the knee compared to this game.
Hell yea I see that now. I think it’s the fact that MK is mostly fake with the fatalities, this shit actually happens in real life. (the torture that is)
how did you get the rom? I looked all over but could not find it.
Some of the sound effects used in the game were also used in Exide’s 1984 hit “Crossbow” , esp the “wooo-ooooo” you hear, which was also used for the voice of the flying ghost in Crossbow.
I wish someone would get this one at our local arcade but I think at this point it would be like finding a million dollars…

All I can say about this game is: apalling. It looks more about shooting normal humans rather than monsters most of the time, and have them die in horrible ways. Age rating, PCness and content aside, does this game make the player the ‘monster’ or as a dubious monster-hunter with very screwed up priorities? D:<

Played it last night at a local arcade\bar for the first time since it came out back in 1986…the owner got his hands on a pristine, like-new machine and it rocks!In a lot of ways it could be a tie-in to Exidy’s earlier hit, “Crossbow” with regard to the castle and the master of evil and all the other stuff in that game.Fun game, not to be taken seriously. It is however something I wouldn’t let little kids play.

@JstylzTV To play Chiller, Google search and download “MAME32 emulator,” google and download “Chiller rom download.” After that, place the entire zip file that contains the rom inside the subdirectory (seen as “roms”) under where you unzipped MAME32. Open MAME32 itself, press F5 to refresh the games listing, and set up the mouse in the configurations tab to be activated with the lightgun attribute. After all that, enjoy!

@Donut117 There is world of difference when you gore your enemies that are out to kill you, so it’s either you of them.In Chiller they are helpless and can’t fight back.I’ve played Punisher, Manhunt, seen most other games you mentioned, and not one of them is more disturbing than Chiller. Not even Postal or GTA, where you can torture bystanders too - except rewards for that are very minor and not worth attention of cops.

@Donut117 In GTA you’re not required or encouraged to run over people. The only people you have to kill are people capable of defending themselves. Chiller is just innocent people strapped in to torture devices and your job is to kill them.

@Donut117 It may be torture, but it’s not gore in the sense that it shows much blood and mutilated flesh. I think that more so falls under the “intense violence” bit in the rating system.
