Awesome, I’ve read tutorials on this but it’s better to have a visual guide. I’m thinking of doing this to some third party PS2 controllers with a USB adapter… since the cheapo USB game pad I have doesn’t respond with MAME… But good work~

That I’m not sure, I used 2 USB joysticks in mine, not the one in this video ether.. I went to thrift stores and found the 2 I’m using for $6 each..

Try and get a flight stick, they have more buttons and have actual buttons in the controler, this makes it MUCH easyer to hack..

I wouldn’t use old joysticks with ps/2 connection, but if you must, before you take it apart hook it up to your copm and play mame with it to test it..

Two wires on one switch, is one the ground. Do you do this on all of them, seems easier than the daisy chain method.

You can get them at any hardware store, Or even dollar stores. I get mine in bulk from the electronic store..

Be sure to watch the newer video, It’s much better quality.

I do. It is easier, But uses more wire.

Some controlers have issues when you daisy chain the ground. This also solves that problem.
