Press tab. Using the arrow keys navigate through the menu, enter selects. It really is straight forward when you see the menus. Also have a play with the dip settings. Here you can adjust the amount lives, bonus life, etc. If only you could have done that when you were shelling out your money. lol

is mame compatible with Neo-Geo roms?

it is compatible with neo geo roms. U have to insert the neo geo bios in the roms folder to play neo geo games. Also the Neo geo experience is better using winkawaks.(I have a winkawaks tutorial) also a short MAME tutorial.

Can anyone help me find a complete dump of the ROMs for the Arcade Jurassic Park? I’ve gone to 2 sites and still it says files are missing when the game loads!!! HELP PLEASE!!!

How do you get games to work in MAME32? Where do I get them, where do I put them and how did you run them?
Go to options–>directories and select where the roms are by going to browse and then selecting the folder they are in.

Dragontribe19 I have a MAME Tutorial which can hopefully help and I include links. I however use MAME Plus.Also have other emulator tutorials.
For some reason my Mame32 wont read the MK2 file when i placeit in the ROM file, anyone else have this same problem? because i cant figure it out.
i do believe you are supposed to put just the zip file in there. no unzipping required. but im no expert so i cant really say.

Why is it I downloaded both the Mame emulator, extracted the Mortal Kombat rom into the folder and it STILL doesn’t work….saying “files not found” and shit.WTF?
You’re not supposed to extract it. Keep it in the ZIP file.

hey man thanks for thye tutorial but i have a problem,i downloaded sengoku 3,put it in the rom folder,then checked to see if it showed up as available,and it didnt,BUT i audited it and it said not found (bios) and alot of other stuff,help?

i think the name of the game is Tumble pop were they battle monsters like skeletons, snowmen, and alien creatures at the last stage

@KHayes666 @USSEpire You dont have to, just extract the file into mame and bing,then just audit at all games and boom! But you should always get set1, it is the original rom.Set2 or higher has mods and may have a virus.Oh yeah… GET MAME64!!!

I’m new uign mame…But each game I download ..it says cannot open game, some roms or chd images are missing…so what can I do or istall missing chd images ?…I appreciate any anwers
@cosmicgate07 only some games need chd files they can be hard to find. try a simple game first like double dragon r something old. just get the rom and put it in the roms folder.then run mame. if u need help just reply?

You wouldn’t believe what a pain in the ass it was getting the new version of main to work. jesus. I had to use a frontline emulator to list all of mames games so that it would play em. The reg emulator kept claiming to be missing crap that was there.If ur gonna go pure mame get the older version.

To any/everybody. I am looking for retro gamers, who’d be interested in playing MAME (& also C64, NES, Atari & Intellivision) online, via Kaillera Client. I like most genres (Shoot/Beat’em up, Sports (Summer Games! Action/Strategy, etc) with a preference towards 2 player co-op/simul play. Feel free to let me know if you’re interested.
nvm i solved it!!1 it seems the latest version does not recognize roms somehow….download mameuifx32_0132 if you have problems! most roms works perfectly with it. Dump or not whatever that means

if you guys love retro games then why dont you just download them from a pirate site like pirate bay or something? i mean i wrote mame and a torrent had 6666 games and 5 emulators it was the ultimate torrent seriously guys go to pirate bay and find it it is worth it it might take some time to download cause its lie 5 GB but its awesome and the emulators dont need to be installed their games can also be played on android phones

Seems the newer version of mame is not so handy. I reconment the older version. Now my games aren’t working anymore on the latest release.
I’ve been using MAME since 1997/v.27 & know my way around, but, I screwed something up good & can’t fix it. Although I have/use the latest versions, I still love MAME32 .95. You know how you hit [TAB] to bring up the menu? Then Input (general) & user Interface? Config Menu setting (formerly enabled by pressing [TAB]) was somehow changed. [TAB] no longer brings up the menu. I tried changing it in the MAME32.ini file, but can’t find it or know what to change. Anybody have some advice/help?
