One of the best movies of all time. =)I love it when Miss Gooch says, “I’m a bride!” And although I love Lucille Ball, I think this version with Rosiland Russell is the best.
Oops….Rosalind =)
“top drawer”–lol–
gooch is the cutest thing.
well it was just ghastly.
“…fruits of calaberation.” HAHAHAHA! Best Part!
One of the best movies of all time! Roz Russell was great. Just “top drawer”!
I have to agree with you…I really love Lucy but I love Rosalind as Auntie Mame
Never let a young boy watch this film. It increases his chance of growing up gay.
i dont understand a single thing thats happening in this scene… =/

Funny clip. I love this movie. The actress playing Gloria is hilarious. Love the way she says “ghastly”, lol.I auditioned for Gooch several times but I wasn’t pretty enough. How sad is that?

I love this movie. I would love to read the book but something tells me that nothing can out-do the screenplay. Fantastic.

Gloria’s a walking awkward turtle! They all just keep waiting for the punch line, and waiting, and waiting.
I did this play in college. I was Claude Upson, Gloria’s father.I love how Gloria says “What’s WRONG with Muriel Puce?!?” 3:40
This is one of the best movies ever made! Love it! Rosalind Russell will always be Auntie Mame; Lucille Ball’s version was a travesty!
I have to agree. I love lucy!! ha ha ha but the part was made for Rosalind!! she’s beautifuland has the atittude for it!!!!is there the whole movie on here?!?! I CAn’t find it!!!
Well they were both good in different ways.
They showed this movie this morning at Bowtie Cinemas… My friend Dee and I went… it is so cool to see it on the big screen again. It is the best version…. Even though, I do love the songs in the musical…
the best movie. ever.
I saw this on TV as a kid and its still the funniest old movie I ever saw
lol what???
“BRIAN??”I say that anytime I see my friend Brian-Henry
someone should have just slapped her for being a drag lol
My hands down favorite film since I was a kid. Love Roz & Peggy!
Murial Puce……; )
“Their not going to live there…they’re building a home for refugee Jewish children!!!” Rosalind Russell is the ONLY Auntie Mame…Lucile Ball totally sucked in this role.If you love this scene you should read the by Patrick Dennis. This scene in the book is ABSOLUTELY HYSTERICAL!!! Rosalind Russell did it total justice!
IMO, Roz Russel > Lucille Ball
well it was ghastly, it was just ghastly, lmao
OMG- I imagine that having to have the whole thing off - “it was ghastly”. God I love this!!! My favorite movie of all time!!!

I am hard pressed to think of any modern actress who has the power of Rosalind Russell.

A classic, classic and CLASSY movie. I love Mame trying to turn the drinking around on Mr. Babcock. She had probably just finshed a cocktail herself! LOL!

Superb. One of the greatest film performances of ANY actress EVER.

I love her look as she reaches the bottom of the stairs and hears Patrick telling Mr. Babcock about the olives. Subtle, but hilarious. That look of “Oh God!”.
