Virtua Racing emulated on MAME (Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator).
Played by Kazuki.
Love this game as I love Daytona.
Used to play it back in 1996. The sound effects and soundtrack always impressed me.
Used MAME 0115 on the video.
Played the entire race with keyboad.
No steering wheel (buy me a one please).
Screen recorded using Techsmith Camtasia.

Does anyone know the name of a sega arcade game that was out around the same time that was set in an arena with robots which had basic 3D polygon graphics.You had 2 joystick to control its movement.

why doesnt my mameui32 1.26 or 1.29 play this, or mame32k etc which mame would play the higher end polygon games like tekkan, virtua fighter?

I tried this on Mame, but the AI cars seemed corrupted and at both ends of the pit lane I hit an invisible wall that freezes game play. Any ideas whats happening on mine?
gameplay on hardest. 1 small crash and still end up 1st with 9 seconds on the clock.. pretty impressive!

@Landstalker32x The PS3 is too underpowered to host so much SEGA power! It would light on fire if it tried.
Sega was definitely the best gaming company of all time, what happened to them seriously sucks and i think that if they made some kind of new system, that wasn’t bull shit (motion control or high tech realistic games) they would make crazy money from all of the fans who know that a lot of the stuff out there today is crap compared to games like this (and I’m not even a fan of racing games)

I remember playing this on an arcade machine in Las Vegas way back when i went on vacation. USA was the sweetest vacation i ever had.
Sega was always ahead of the curve, other companies were a joke.

The Saturn should have had a perfect port of this game, but they let Time Warner F it all up. There is really no great version of this game other than in MAME.
why does virtua racing have such unrealistic physics? f1 cars do not drift like in virtua racing. it should have been more accurate. sega rally is the most realistic sega racing game. anyway sakura chao plays this.
